Kathmandu & Phokara for 7 days!

Hi everyone.

So this 21 March I'll be flying to Nepal for 7 days getaway and it will be a budget bagpacking trip.

I actually just pick the date as the flight ticket is cheap on that exact date and thing turns great where March is the suggested month to travel this must visit country, Nepal.

So this is my itenerary of the trip where I digged all this from various of websites and I hope this will make us feel prepared when we were there. 

21 March:

Arrive from Kuala Lumpur at 7.45pm, I can't wait to watch the Himalaya from my flight if I were lucky.

(a driver from hotel will pick us up) 

We arrive at night so not much can be explored, we'll be having our dinner and having some fun at Themal street, the most happening street in Kathmandu (KTM).

22 March: 

Early in the morning, we'll be taking bus to Boudhanath, then 40 minutes walk to The Kopan Monastery (2 hours hike from Themal area)

If there's any time left, we'll be visiting this:

The Pashupatinath (5 kms to the east KTM, 300 Rupees by taxi and Rs 500 fee)

Bhaktapur (10 kms from  KTM, 700 Rupees fee)

23 March:

The Chitwan National Park, paradise of nature

West of KTM

6 hours bus ride 

500 Rupees fee

If the visit took a long period of time, we might stay there a night where room can be obtained as little as $2 (all trip schedule will change if this happened)

24 March:

Royal Botanical Gardens (9am to 5pm open)

Avoid Fridays and Saturdays (crowded with school kids)

Rs 100 fee

At noon, we'll be taking the cheapest transportation to visit famous place of The Boudhanath Stupa. 7kms to east of Central KTM where fee is Rs 150. 

If we were able to visit that place only in one day (not till the top of course, maybe just chilling at the waterfall). All day there

where 26 and 27 March in Pokhara. Or 

25 March:

Take bus to Pokhara early in the morning. 

Then check in a new guest house and explore Phokara Lake.

Walk from Phewa Tal to World Peace Pagoda.

26 March:

Sarangkot (very early in the morning to see the Himalayas sunrise view).

Rafting trip down the Kali Gandaki and Seti Rivers. 

27 March:

Walk along the Phokara city then back to KTM airport.
